The parish church’s frescoes
The Gothic church dates to the 14th century and its Romanesque side tower to the 13th. The frescoes—probably by Hans Stockinger, c. 1399–1407—are South Tyrol’s largest rural collection. Painted over around 1880, they were uncovered and partly restored from 1950 to 1971.
Colourful glazed tiles and a sculpture of the “Coronation of Mary” (c. 1370–1380) add to the church’s character.
